Title: The Zombie E.P.

Year: 2002

Personnel: I was responsible for most of the guitars, the main vocals and the drum programming. Andy Forbes played the other guitars, did some of the backing vocals and played most of the keyboards. The music and lyrics were complete collaboration. I’m sure he’ll correct me if I’m remembering this wrong.

Analysis: This marks both the first time that All Hallow’s Evil consisted of more than one person and the first time that intentional humor started to show in the music. Listening back to it now, the keyboard sounds are pretty funny as well, but that wasn’t intentional. We did the best with the tools we had I suppose. It’s worth noting that the last song was written first and was intended to be a parody of your standard coffeehouse act. Andy and I actually used to perform it at a local community college coffeehouse from time to time. We were dicks like that.

I took  another shot at this sometime in 2009. It’s based more on the live arrangement we used to use.
